The MEAN WELL RSD-60 series DC to DC converters have been designed to comply with standards EN50155 and EN45545-2, so they are suitable for use on locomotives and passenger trains or trams. They have an ultra-compact 1U low profile enclosure, so they take up very little space. They have a 4:1 wide input range with 3 input options available:9~36VDC18~72VDC40~160VDCThey are available with a 3.3V, 5V, 12V, or 24V output, which makes them compatible with most voltage sources that you will find available aboard locomotives, trains, or trams. No minimum load is required, and the RSD-60 DC converters have 4000VDC input/output isolation for safety. The wide operating temperature range (refer to derating curve in data sheet) makes them suitable for use in most environments
